The consulting firm will be responsible for supporting the following undertakings: (i) developing a coherent policy on a universal pension; (ii) enacting legislative reforms related to off-balance sheet pension fund and other government provided pensions; (iii) determining modalities of implementing employer sponsored pension plans for the government, its agencies and SOEs; (iv) developing investment rules for defined contribution pension schemes; (v) developing a coherent policy on the insurance industry that addresses current impediments and is in line with international standards; (vi) drafting of regulations and rules for the insurance industry; and (vii) facilitation in the enhancement of market infrastructure to cater to new linkages, sectors and products. |
